It is not just a sticker on the boiler
An annual service is the single cheapest thing you can do to avoid a mid-winter breakdown. It is also a condition of nearly every manufacturer warranty — miss one and cover can be void.
What we check
- Gas pressure and flow rate against manufacturer figures
- Flue integrity and a full combustion analysis
- Heat exchanger, burner and condensate trap cleaned
- Seals, safety devices and controls tested
- System pressure and expansion vessel charge
What it prevents
Most winter callouts we attend are the end result of something small that had been developing for months: a blocked condensate, a tired diverter valve, a sludged system starving the boiler of flow. Caught in a service, these are minor. Caught in January, they are an emergency.
When to book
Late summer and early autumn. Engineers have availability, and any parts needed can be fitted before you rely on the heating daily.
